i've been working on this mod for several hours at this point, everything is good, except that my country doesn't appear on the map when i run the game. and ive checked the files and the states are listed it just doesnt show up

Do you get any errors when running the game in debug mode?

let me try, how do i set up debug mode?

If you right click the game in Steam, select "Properties", and then in the launch options text box add:

-debug

Close the popup, and run the game normally.

Whilst the game loads, the error log will automatically open.
