I wanted to create a focus that changed the name of Japan, and I found this guide on the forum (https://edge.hoi4modding.com/forum/mod-discussion/620-guide-to-making-formable-nations-no-outside-tools) and followed it. But, the new focus would not appear when I use the mod in game. I thought I might've messed up something along the way, so I tried making a much simpler focus that added 500 political power. The new focus still doesn't show up. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Edit: jordsta95 provided the solution in another one of my posts: "When editing existing focus trees, you sometimes need to use the same focus ID that the base game uses." This will allow you to add new focuses to the tree if that's the issue. If you want to change the name of your nation use "set_cosmetic_tag = nation_name"

Can you post a screenshot of the focus and what the focus tree looks like in the file, It could be as simple as the coding isn't done properly which will break the focus and make it not appear, also if you have the debug logs that will help even more.
