If they're unnamed that means either the game is running a different language than the files exported, or there's an error which should show when running the game in debug mode.

As for pictures, those should definitely get added to the error log.

Just to check, the debug log you mentioned is the one which shows when running the game with the "-debug" parameter?

 sorry i figured it out now it was the sub ideologies being broken causing the leaders to show unamed

i changed all the leaders portraits and names for all countries in my mod and some of them work just fine but others are just Unamed with no picture even though the debug log doesn't say anything please help

or you could add a thing where you can select another countrys research like germany in 1936

Never really used it myself, and not too sure what the use-case would be in modding; it's just there so that the field can be edited on imported trees.

The base game uses it to determine whether the player has certain DLC, and hides that focus, and all which come after it, if they don't have the DLC.

For example, Germany's Oppose Hitler path is only available if you have Waking the Tiger.

I guess one thing you may use it for is if you're checking for mod interaction, e.g. if Road to 56 is enabled, make a specific branch of focuses show.

even if you set allow branch in the focus tree editor, in the actual file itself there is no allow branch in the focus code.

how does it work exactly? ive tried doing it and it hasn't worked once, ive seen a different post on here with a explanation but still i didnt understand, could you provide an example on the website of allow branch because for me it just doesn't work.

how do i fire an event for a different country? 

lets say i made a focus for germany that sends a event to yugo asking for an alliance, how do i actually do this?
