Do I have to set a trigger for the event options?

The options don't show up, the only option I get is ok, as for error logs I don't get any

Do I set the option to trigger with the focus or do I do something else.

The event fires fine, but the options on the event don't. How do I get the options to fire. Screenshot if that helps:

Ok, Canada now becomes independent, but the event still doesn't fire for the USA
