Character Creation Menu

In the character creation menu, we arrive at a page where we create a name for our character, and then another page opens. From there, we can add multiple characters using the button in the bottom right corner, but the problem is that each character created is linked to the character whose name we chose the first time on the first page. As a result, we end up in the character tab with only one character that groups all of our characters together... 

Is this an optimization issue?
