Country editing question

For my mod the county that is moded in starts as a puppet of France, but if I go into the country editor for France would I need to supply the leaders, the proper flags, traits, etc?

So import the Common files and the history files. Dont worry if some things dont appear like the flags and the leaders. If you import the history files and the Common files anything that you dont edit will be set to the default country asset.
(Also set the country color to what you want or it wont load the default color)

So by example:

If i imported all the files then called France the kingdom of france for their democratic name and you also set their leader to sombody then france will be called the kingdom of france with the assigned leader.

To add a subject just go to misc then click add subject. Then set the autonomy of your choice.

How would one get those files?

When you click the "Import" option in the country tool, there will be some icons (i) to the right of the file selectors. If you hover over those, it will tell you which folder to look in for each file selector.

is the focus tree included in the common files?

No for the focus tree you would have to import it.

Click the tooltip to find how to import it.
