Hi to all,

Long time playing Hoi4, make us desire to mod it a lot, as the players desire to approach to reality and more micromanagement options will push us many ideias.  Comprehending most of the game mechanics and mods possibilities, after DLC Arms Against Tyranny with the MIO feature, open a several option to approach to a new game possibility reality.

Although this forum and site is showing signs on dying and most probably will close, without knowing the future of all work and discussion in this thread, I wounder if someone have a suggestion where will be possible to find a new site or platform where we can discuss and work on a Mod Idea not afraid to loose all work, and without restrictions  like subscriptions and Cookies and save historic publicly.Meantime, I created a discord.gg group to may contact faster and promote the ideas discussion as ours life require most of the time and left us with few time a day to dedicate to this project.https://discord.gg/wKezHdwX7GThis Tread is to find a platform and show you a brief idea of the mod desire possibility propose to discuss.I know, due to the Huge changes for this idea most probably is this mod never pass to a next stage of development and only stay discussing the possibilities. As to reach development stage should require many team members motivate and linked to the project and a lot of co-working to made it possible. I don't know what will be the reaction of HOI4 players & modders community to this idea and what would be mobilization level of the group to it. Basically I'm only launching a flare to all to mobilized, and wait for the result.

As this Idea, I think is very clever & innovative, is possible to motivate the Community to join as is so different for the all existent mods. However this idea as based on a huge timeline will include most of the Mods already existing mods, and can be used part of them to rich it. I think only the super fiction, unreal mods and the super complex mods will not fit it, rather some small parts or Ideias. So I hope will mobilize even the existent mod owners and teams.I wrote a brief idea on my mods, and after reading the brief I can develop more content of the idea, but always knowing is the inicial stage and more brains discussing will increase the idea value, so is open to improve.Basically the desire is create a timeline from CK years 1000.A.C. or before to Future days, if possible, endless.Knowing the speed issue of the HOI4 Mechanics are much limited to speed, the biggest focus is make the mechanics generic and simple with indirect complexity that not slow the game speed.Also the accordance for reality must be crucial respected for may permit the alternative history along the huge timeline.Gathering all aspects for this kind of timeline, on the HOI4 mechanics most focused on militar aspect will clear to be necessary to make a big adaptation. The main Idea, with the DLC Arms against Tyranny, and MIO and Marked will permit transform many of the game mechanics to bough Civil and Militar Mechanics, as well the resources and products system, approaching to a EU & Victory game economy system.In resume and for discussion:-Resources will be transform on natural production capacity for generic economic sectors (ex: Farming, Extraction, Industrial, Mechanics, Electronics, Synthetics).-Buildings suffer several proposal ground modifications, making them as production capacitors as well infrastructures building converted. The infrastructures are assumed to be increase with buildings construction and development so desapear as building.-Supply hubs are transform to new concept of settlements, as the start for tribe, village, city, etc..-Railways will be the new connection infrastructures ways, not only rail, but roads and other lines.-The militar industry as the concept converted to administration structure for gather budget revenue which will be oriented for production. Militar industry start to be represented by MIO.-Most of the Military buildings maintain the concept but adapt the modifiers to the new context.-The 4 production sectores are transform, using 1st sector to all economy resources and products where the budget revenue available are distribute. 2nd sector will be dedicated to land warfare design, 3rd and 4th maintain for air and Ships. The equipment is insert on 2nd sector Land, now design able.-MIO will pass to be the buildings which limit for production, and without it don't produce-Focus, return to all country generic tree and transform as Development / Cultural concepts line. Also will feed the MIO system by requiring triggers.-Research will suffer several changes to adapt timeline and the resources and economy spectrum.-Decisions will be adapt to countries, but at start most of them will be generic and probably adjust to the game options play-ability.- Market will pass to permit to transaction of resources and products to generate Money.- Intelligence is to be adapt to the timeline reality integrated EU4 ideas also.- Politics are transform to country management and administration only, Militar will pass to Officer Organization .- Land Units recruitment and deployment on the map will need a lot of rework mechanics to limit numbers on the game of all countries, as this is the main factor to affect the game speed performance. The Idea is promote to generic the command line where which limit the number of units, but let the design and size set power and resources the country are capable to recruit. As well promote the avoidance to stack units that slow the game.Most of the concepts and modifiers will be review to a realistic and more measurable form to improve the felling and identification of the game with the world reality. By removing subjetives modifiers, like stability, politic power, Command points, experiĆŖncia points, etc.. and promote more specific ones, population votes, GDP, etc..

 Hi Lobear1412I was waiting for feedback of the site development to understand if we can expect better life for all info or time spent on this platform. If this has the destination to died, all info or discussion here can be lost so is better even not started.As we didn't get any answer yet, I'm searching for new platform where we be better to promote the idea.Do I open the thread probably only to redirect to discrod.gg where we can discuss the ideias?

  Based on the description of the mod, I'd suggest you first try to figure out exactly when you want the mod's timeline to start and end because you can have some issues with the country creator if you make a new start date and a sense of scale always helps. Also, you should probably set up a dedicated thread for recruiting people. Finally, don't think I'm that experienced; most of my projects are at best 10% finished.

 Hi Lobear1412,I still think this thread is not the indicated to continue this chat of the Mod.I'll wait from DukeSam feedback in this thread.Meantime I will start a thread to open discussion on the Mod, checking if is interest on the mod Ideia.The Ideias are also to share and develop with the team, but I believe all pair of and head always help, so I hope you keep willing to participate.

Hi Lobear1412Will be great if you can join, however as I'm starting in this platform I'm trying to understand the tools of the platform or where we can work & discuss on it.As I Saw you already have several mod projects, you should have more experience and probably suggestions I can follow.At the first, I'm search for share the mod idea discussion to gather the team.However this thread is not the adjust for it.

Hi DukeSamAs you should check, I'm new at this platform, but as far I understand already, the platform is not healthy. By this post I understand lack of support and some investment without seeing yet purpose of it.As you should know HOI4 and other paradox games have a lot of players and communities, however most of them are shared content and not focus for co-working promotion, rather some platforms limited / closed to some subscribtions.If I understand right, this platform shows focus to promote tools and teams for co-working on mods without constrains.Was the only one I found in this way, until now. So I wonder why is not stronger, supported and try to understand why.

I this aspect I believe the first issue will be problems on management, ideias, tools and strategy. As my formation is management, I may try to help in this aspect, possibly I may find some solutions, new ideas, better strategies, that may help the platform improve and grow.

But I believe this discussion should not be on posts open to all, as is necessary understand personal aspects and workgroup details to may do a correct analysis and project. I didn't found on the platform option to sent private message, so I had to post here, where I believe was the most appropriated.If you are interested on my help, please suggest how / where we can discuss privately this issues.As this "shoot post" on showing help is most probably land on discredit, as I'm so new at the platform,and no history, i totaly understand if will result to a no/negative answer.But I believe the important is showing cooperation availability for the root problem, as I understand is the forum focus. Instead starting using the platform only for feeding the problem to leave closer to future end.

By the way, I want to congratulate you for the platform startup, and the effort to maintain it.
