Just some small updates, mostly to do with the country creator this week; National Spirits, Autonomy/Subjects, and Start Date & Ideology updates. A lot of little things which will make a huge difference!
Start dates & Ideologies
Start dates
If you navigate to your mod's page you will now notice two new icons when looking at the country list there. You are now able to assign and remove any ideologies & start dates to countries, no matter when they were created.
If you created a country before adding a new start date or ideology, you will now be able to assign it to the country. If you add a date that is before the original start date (for example, if you create a start date in 1920) it will copy all of the data from the 1936 (default) start date, including all ideologies, people in government, etc.
Any dates created after the original start date (e.g. 1937) will be left blank, similar to the 1939 default start date.
Should your mod have the "Start Date Overhaul" option set, you will only see the option to add your new start dates, if not the vanilla start dates can be re-added if removed. Although any existing start dates will be shown so that you can remove them, whether they are available in the mod or not (e.g. you set "Start Date Overhaul" after creating the country, or you have deleted a custom start date).
Ideologies
Much like the start date, ideologies will only show the ones available; meaning the vanilla ideologies will be hidden if the "Ideology Overhaul" mod option is set.
Autonomy & Subjects
Under the Misc section of the country creator tool you will now be able to set the tag and autonomy levels for the nation(s) you wish to have as a subject.
These can be found under the header showing the current start date you are editing, near the bottom of the page, as you will be able to have different subjects in different start dates. (Should you want a subject to be free if a later start date is chosen, add them in the later start date with the autonomy level "Free")
Starting National Spirits
Also in the Misc section of the country creator is a National Spirit selector. If you have created any ideology lists already, this will appear as buttons in this sections, click these and you will be given a list of all available National Spirits in that list. Click to add them to the country, and now the country will start with that National Spirit. (National Spirits can be taken from as many different lists as you require)
A few other small changes:
You may notice an event file you didn't create being exported if you have "Ideology Overhaul" set on your mod. This is to fix an issue with the game firing political march events for ideologies which don't exist.
In the Ideology tool, you can now set the description for the ideology and the ideology types, so when you hover over each one in game it will tell you a bit more about your new ideology.
The trait selector should now show when editing the government, in the country creator tool.
Now on to the Decision tool! Unfortunately, there's no ETA for this yet, as real life delayed this mini-update by a few weeks, so it will be coming out later than I hoped. But it should be out, if all goes well, some time in August.
