try saving them as .tga files before uploading them, that works for me

How does the flags work? Do we add a normal flag or do we have to put a template over it

 Normal flag, BUT for some reason all the flags load upside down. So you gotta turn them upside down before putting them in.

 for the flags to be right-side up, they must be .tga files, rather than .png or .jpeg files.

 Cool! If I may, I'd also suggest adding cosmetic tag functionality, seeing as the closest you can get to on-site cosmetic tags is making it a country.

I accidentally minimized it once, and even the next day it's still minimized by default.

I'm currently working on a mod, where I'm consistently running into an issue where a character won't work, even though everything seems perfectly fine. They have names, portraits, traits, expire dates, and (placeholder) descriptions, yet they still are rejected by the game, and displayed as "No Commander"

An example would be https://edge.hoi4modding.com/country/edit/99303, where the absolutist leader for the country will not work, no matter what I do. I'm really frustrated, could somebody explain what's going on?

As nobody responded, I ended up figuring it out myself.

You see, these leaders weren't exporting with a set ideology... for some reason. Yep, the reason the game didn't know they existed was because you have to MANUALLY SET THEM IN THE FILES.

If I seem a little... "Irate" when writing this, it's because I have literally no idea why this happens. Fixing this bug would be pretty nice, but for now, there is a workaround.

Currently, giving custom countries states is based off of a background of the base game's borders, which can be confusing if you're adding countries which neighbour eachother. I suggest, probably not quite originally, that this background instead accounts for custom countries too, to be more readable.

When a mod is exported, it only exports like 3 focuses and the rest just aren't exported.
